GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Mesa County Sheriff’s Officers arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting that happened yesterday morning in Clifton.
Officers arrested 41-year-old Grand Junction woman, Gina Flores, and remanded her to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
- First-degree assault with a deadly weapon
- Criminal attempt to commit first-degree murder
- Aggravated robbery
- Theft
According to the MCSO, a woman arrived at the emergency room yesterday morning at St. Mary’s Hospital with a gunshot wound, but Western Slope Now received an anonymous tip claiming a woman was suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. The victim is currently in stable condition, per MCSO reports.
Law enforcement then responded to the 3200 block of Lombardy Lane, and a search for the suspect ensued.
The incident is still under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
