GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — After several weeks of investigation, law enforcement officers arrested an individual suspected of robbing the Bank of the San Juans at 685 Horizon Drive on January 23.

Officers arrested Jason Elledge in Montrose, Colorado on Monday, March 13, and remanded him to the Montrose County Jail on the following charges.

On Monday, January 23, officers with the GJPD and FBI responded to a reported robbery at the Bank of San Juans.

According to the report, the suspect handed the bank teller a note insisting on money. The teller gave the suspect money, who proceeded to flee the bank in what authorities believed to be a blue passenger car.

The GJPD believes this to be an isolated incident. Western Slope Now will update the story when more details become available.
