Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to reports of a domestic incident Monday morning. After attempts to locate the suspect, GJPD officers and MCSO Deputies found the man in a vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

The man reportedly fled from the scene driving on the wrong side of the roadway. Two patrol vehicles sustained heavy damage while pursuing the suspect but eventually lost contact, per reports.

GJPD located the suspect in the 1900 block of David Street at the Linden Apartments later in the day, and MCSO SWAT teams attempted to contact him at around 2:45 p.m. The suspect barricaded himself in the apartment and refused to cooperate.

After a several-hour standoff, law enforcement arrested Digregorio and remanded him to the Mesa County Detention Facility.

GJPD officials believe this to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community. This is an ongoing investigation, and Western Slope Now will update this story when new information becomes available
