GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Today the Mesa County District Attorney’s Office sentenced a man in relation to a September 2022 assault that happened in Fruita.
Nathan Brach pleaded guilty to several charges in court today:
- Assault in the third degree as an act of domestic violence
- Two counts of possession of a weapon by a previous offender
The assault came with a maximum sentence allowed by law – 364 days of jail. Brach has credit for the 211 days he has spent in custody to date.
For the other sentencings, Brach is required to serve 90 additional days of jail, do 300 hours of community work service, turn over all weapons in the case and fulfill 15 years of probation. According to the district attorney’s office, Brach can order restitutions for the weapons, and he must complete evaluations for substance abuse, mental health and domestic violence and follow the recommendations for treatment if any.
The sentencings are to run consecutively
