GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD) are in the process of investigating a shooting that took place on the evening of April, 20. Officers responded to several calls of multiple gunshots being heard in the 300 Block of Fairview Avenue at approximately 9:45 p.m.

Upon arriving in the area, officers secured the area, interviewed potential witnesses, and began a search for the subjects involved. During the investigation, officers detained six individuals that were taken to the Police Department for questioning.

After being interviewed, all six individuals were released.

No injuries have been reported, and GJPD believes this is an isolated incident and no threat is posed to the community.
