GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — This one started fast.

After three drives we were nodded up at seven. And both teams looked ready for the challenge.

But before you could blink the Wildcats scored two long rushing touchdowns and a pick six to take a 27-7 halftime lead.

Fruita senior quarterback Amari Wilson looks like a force this season as he scored both of the long touchdown runs in half one to break it open.

That triple option is tough to stop for any defense and Central – with their new-look coaching staff – learned that the hard way.

Next week, the Wildcats will try to stay perfect with a tough matchup in Montrose against the Redhawks. Meanwhile, Central will search for their first victory of the year when they take on Palisade at Stocker Stadium.

And don’t forget – Friday Night Frenzy returns tomorrow and we will have live coverage from multiple games. You won’t want to miss it.
