GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The team at the VA hospital in Grand Junction want to let the community know how to reach out to veterans in need.
Dr. Carla M. Nappi, Chief of Mental Health at the Grand Junction VA, and Rainy Reaman, a VA suicide prevention coordinator, visited Fox 4 to talk about the mental health resources available for veterans.
Especially during the holiday season, Reaman and Dr. Nappi encourage the community to share the VA’s resources to any vets who may be having a hard time.
Any veteran facing a mental health crisis or other emotional distress can call the Veterans Crisis Line at 1-800-273-8255, or visit the Veterans Crisis Line website for other resources or to chat with a confidential crisis worker.
