Regulation of Mobile Food Vendors

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.

The city of Grand Junction is requesting to amend zoning and development codes for the regulation of food trucks at the Planning Commission Agenda at City Hall on Tuesday, February 11.

“People take a big risk with their time, their money, and their dreams when they step into a business, and we wanna make sure that they know what they’re getting into”, says Associate Planner of the Grand Junction Community Development Committee.

The regulations are made to help mobile food vendors, not hurt them or hurt the local economy. Gloss says, “We’re trying to provide for the genuine model here. They way that they operate, and capture that while making sure there is that basic provision of services that customers at a restaurant expect, and what customers at a food truck would expect.”
