GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) – On September 22, 2022 was the 13th annual Man in Heels race benefiting Hilltop’s Latmer House for victims of domestic violence.

18 all male teams raced in high heels to raise awareness and funds to support Hilltop’s Latimer House and domestic violence services.

Latimer house, a Hilltop program, provides emergency services, counseling, transitional; housing, and a 24-hour crisis line for those affected by domestic violence and sexual assault in Mesa County. Organizers say the man in heels race is a fun way to raise awareness about the very serious issue of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Last year’s runner-up come into this year’s race focused on first place.

All money raised goes towards Latimer House for sheltering services, case management, or any sort of help an individual might need while getting through a tough time in their life.
