GRAND VALLEY, Colo. (KREX) — Goals for Colorado Gives Day grow bigger every year. The annual event serves a 24-hour period for people to give where they live to the charity of their choice.

48 nonprofits based in the Grand Valley partake in Colorado Gives Day this year with the hope of a turnout that reflects the support received throughout the year.

“More money is raised every year on Colorado gives day so it’s just wonderful to see it because so many people realize how easy it is to give online and to support the nonprofits of their choice,” Grand Valley Gives Collaboration’s Martha Graf shares, “When people give. it supports the people that those nonprofits support themselves, so that’s where the impact comes from and that’s why Colorado Gives Day is such an important day.”

This year’s goal is $325 thousand where online donations start now until December 7. Participating charities earn a portion of the million dollar incentive fund, boosting every donation received on Colorado Gives Day.
