Be Sweet Cafe and Bakery is taking things to the next level. Opportunity buzzed in on the shop to buy an extra 700 square feet.
Merging out of the pandemic, the extra room increases the overall capacity, giving the full effect of the cafe. Owner Carrie Litz owes a big part of this milestone to constant business and support.
“We’ve always wanted more room and more space so, as soon as they left, we knew that we wanted to move next door,” Carrie Litz reveals,” We were able to grow a little bit and have this opportunity to expand. We definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without the community’s support. This has definitely been my dream. It’s amazing that, in just three short years, it’s been able to come to fruition. I’m so excited to see what the future has for us.”
Since being open, Be Sweet maintains a loyal following. Many customers from day one remember the original stand alone drive-thru off North Avenue.
“For the last three years, Be Sweet has been cooking and baking in the same quaint location,” Cora Dickey reports, “Now with the new space, Be Sweet can fully embrace being a bakery and cafe.”
Among others, the local Gals That Brunch chapter find this milestone is well-deserved.
“They already expanded once and got a storefront and, then, did it again,” Marcie Frantz recalls, “It’s nice that there’s a lot of extra room, I’ve been coming to Be Sweet since they were just a little shack and it’s awesome to see how much they’ve grown and be part of the next chapter of Be Sweet’s story.”
Expanding the space also gives the chance to expand the menu. New drinks, entrees, and treats are available now.
