GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — All classes and after-school activities at Palisade High School and D51 bus route 72 are canceled today after a bomb threat was made last night.
A Safe2Tell tip was reportedly submitted last night involving a bomb threat that was made to the last bus stop of route 72 at Palisade High School.
D51 Safety and Security, the Palisade Police Department and the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office investigated the threat but were unable to determine the level of its credibility. Ultimately, officials decided to close Palisade High School today and cancel the bus 72 route. Students who ride this bus to Mt. Garfield Middle School will reportedly need to find alternative transportation to school today.
According to D51, classes will resume once law enforcement completes a thorough investigation and ensure no ongoing threat. No further information is available at this time.
