GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — CareFLIGHT of the Rockies raised $5,025.00, supporting Latimer House’s mission in the 2021 Men in Heels Race. Every physical step in heels was matched with a donation to a great cause.

While CareFLIGHT reigns as the fundraising champ this year, giving back does not stop at winning a title.

“We put a team together for several years for a minute deals and gotten used to run in heels,” Nate Wilson, R.N. reflects, “Anything we can do to get back to community means a ton for us. We’re just starting we just got kicked off we’re ready to go for years and years to go.”

Over 50 thousand dollars was raised by the 18 teams in this year’s Men in Heels race. All proceeds go towards providing domestic violence and sexual assault services for anyone in Western Colorado.
