GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Children’s Hospital Colorado opened its new location in Grand Junction on October 3.
The outpatient care facility, located on the first floor of Monument West inside Primary Care Partners, is home to providers across eight different specialties, including gastroenterology and cardiology.
Dr. Benjamin Hughes, pediatric pulmonologist and sleep doctor for Children’s Colorado tells WesternSlopeNow this expansion was long awaited and much needed.
“I think that the demand right now for high-quality pediatric care in the area is huge and really represents a need that we need to continue working hard to meet,” says Hughes.
Dr. Hughes also says the new facility will keep kids on the western slope from having to travel to Denver for specialty care.
Appointments for the practice are by referral only. To get a referral, parents can talk to their pediatrician.
