GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Last month, WesternSlopeNow reported on Grand Junction’s plans to replace two existing sewage pump stations with a single new station on Lake Road.
On Monday, Nov. 6, the city is holding a public meeting to discuss the proposal for their lift station. Officials plan to share the studies they’ve done to date and their ideas for the new structure.
Glenn Stout, a resident of Connected Lakes where the lift station is proposed to be installed, has started a petition hoping to prevent its placement on Lake Road. Stout tells WesternSlopeNow that the petition has more than 79 signatures.
The open house is at 6 p.m., at the Redlands Community Center.
