CMU Suffers 3rd Loss Of The Season

News

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.

A tough night for the Lady Mavs at Brownson Arena Friday night against the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers. In the first half the Lady Mavs gave up a 16-point deficit, but a nice comeback led by the three point shooting of Natalie Bartle and Kylyn Rigsby, meant the Mavericks only trailed by 3 at the half. Despite the Orediggers going 1 of 6 from behind the arc in the second half, Mines pulled out the 58-50 win. 50 points equals the Lady Mavs lowest point tally on the season matching their score in their mid December 60-50 loss to Black Hills State. A season high in turnovers didn’t help either, as the Mavs recorded 20 giveaways on the night. Up next for the Lady Mavs are the 2-5 Regis University Rangers, tip off is scheduled for Saturday at 5:30.
