Hundreds of graduates walk the stage as loved ones pack the stands of Stocker Stadium. Graduates say that the tassel is worth the hassle, reaching commencement and being able to have it in person.
This year’s commencement marks the last one with Tim Foster as CMU president. He and the now alumni have much to reflect on and appreciate during this special occasion.
“That accomplishment, all that hard work, and just the joy and excitement of families getting to come down and CM and just celebrate,” Tim Foster describes, “You see what a lively, fun mood it is. It’s a great time and I’ll miss it.”
“I feel like it was almost a silver lining to get to be in the nursing program during the pandemic,” Julia Davenport believes, “They were a lot of obstacles but it also presented a lot of opportunities that I can make the best of experience before hitting the field.”
For these graduates, the last semester’s theme has been “The Future is Now.” With degrees in hands, they turn to the next chapter of their lives.
To all graduates, congratulations from KREX 5 News.
