D51 Launches Emergency Lunch Program

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Starting Monday School District 51 begins serving its emergency meal program for families in need of breakfast or lunch.

The district has set up several locations at schools across the grand valley and has even deployed the Lunch Lizard to a few communities.

The meal program is running from now until at least April 17th, Monday thru Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on 11 different campuses in Mesa County, and the Lunch Lizard will be in three different neighborhoods during that time.
