GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Twitter is buzzing about our very own Denver Broncos football team. The trending hashtag is #BrandonAllen, to be exact.
All the buzz around Brandon is due to the injury of Joe Flacco.
Joe’s injury has disabled him from playing next week, so, who will take his place? Brandon Allen will.
Coach Vic Fangio said backup-Brandon Allen will start Sunday–
when the Denver Broncos host the Cleveland Browns.
Fans are debating on twitter as to who will be better between Allen and Flacco, and some are expressing their worries– as Brandon Allen has never started in an NFL game. Find more on this story here.
Also making Twitter headlines is something rather long-awaited. The Popeyes Chicken Sandwich, which sold out nationwide in as little as two weeks, is returning to stores.
You can catch the sandwich hot and ready on November 3rd–
which happens to be a Sunday.
Why does it matter that it’s debuting on Sunday? Well, part of the buzz over the sandwich is the rivalry between Popeyes and Chick-Fil-A for who has the best spicy chicken sandwich.
When the rivalry went viral, Popeyes sold out.
The catch is of course that Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sundays.
Popeyes is using Chick-Fil-A’s Sunday closure to their advantage in an ironically jabbing commerical the fried chicken chain released.
