GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Girl Scouts kickstart their cookie booth and door to door sales this Sunday. Local Girl Scouts are already taking orders online on the Girl Scouts website.

This season is koala-themed and the lineup debuts a salted caramel brownie cookie called Adventurefuls. We met Girl Scout McKenzie O’Dell as a cookie captain last year when in person sales resumed after COVID.

She says she is excited for another year, she and her troop can reach new goals.

“It’s interesting people you’ll meet when you get in contact with businesses,” Girl Scout McKenzie O’Dell shares, “I made some really great connections and I think that might be one of the things I’m very excited for this cookie season.”

Boxes of Girl Scout Cookies cost five dollars each this year. Every box you buy helps girls develop lifelong skills, and supports adventures troops have throughout the year.
