GJ Salvation Army Hosts Food Drive

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Salvation Army is asking for your help in assisting community members during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organization held a food drive Friday in the Target parking lot at the Mesa Mall.

Community members were encouraged to donate any non-perishable food items, including canned goods, pasta and peanut butter.

The organization says its food assistance program is always open to those in need, but it’s seen an increase in visitors during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you’re interested in donating, the organization will be in the same place, collecting items on Saturday from 10 a.m to 4 p.m.

If you need assistance from The Salvation Army, you can call (970) 644-5655.
