Drain standing water around your house weekly because the life cycle of a mosquito is seven days.

Dress in long sleeves and pants when outdoors.

Deet is the ingredient to look for in bug spray.

Dusk and Dawn are prime times when mosquitoes are most active and the best times to avoid the pests.
