The Grand Junction Rockies fell in their first home game of the 2019 season 7-5 against the Rocky Mountain Vibes.
It was a game that Junction didn’t have any business being in until the eighth inning when they scored four runs to make it a two-run ballgame. The Rockies committed six errors on the night which ultimately led to the loss, even though they had four more hits than the Vibes.
Grand Junction High School alum, Owen Taylor, started the scoring for the Rox in the seventh inning, when he hit his second homerun of the season, his first at Suplizio.
The Rockies fall to (1-4) on the young season and will play the Vibes Wednesday, June 19 at 6:40 p.m.
