GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Do you know a REMARKABLE WOMAN living on the Western Slope who deserves to have her story told? We want to recognize the great contributions women have made to our community. 

Remarkable Women is part of a nationwide Nexstar Media initiative to honor the influence that women have had on public policy, social progress, and the quality of life. Grand Junction’s very own Mona Highline won the honor of being named Nexstar’s Remarkable Woman of 2023 for the work she does with the Joseph Center.

Throughout Women’s History Month in March, KREX will highlight local women who inspire, lead, and forge the way for other women. 

The finalists will be selected from all nominees nationwide and will be eligible to be named Nexstar’s 2024 Remarkable Woman of the Year. One remarkable woman from our community will win a trip to the Remarkable Women celebration in Los Angeles.
