PALISADE, Colo (KREX) — This year marked 13 years of the festival. The event was canceled for the last two years.

Vendors, art, and community members packed 3rd and Main excited to taste honey, enjoy live music and even learn a little bit about honey and its roots.

Other things on hand were handmade products, agricultural and local wine products, a costume contest, and a spelling bee. The event was founded by a group of local business owners to draw attention to the honeybee population.

The festival ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you’d like more information, on honey or bee products, visit https://palisadehoneybeefest.org/.
