2nd Annual Grand Valley Yoga Fest

Local News

PALISADE, Colo.

Mesa County has the highest suicide rates in Colorado, and the Grand Valley Yoga Fest has the goal to teach the positive benefits of yoga for mental health.

This is the 2nd year of yoga fest, and there are over 30 different yoga classes to choose from.

Organizers say, there’s so much more to yoga than the physical practice, it’s a mind, body, and spirit connection, and yoga fest wants to give back to the community it helps stretch.

Sunday has a free veterans, military, and first responders class, which are considered the more vulnerable populations at risk for suicide, and mental health issues.

Whether you’re new to yoga, or have a ton of experience, the exercise that’s thousands of years old hopes to help relieve your worries.
