GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Authorities are investigating a car crash that happened in Grand Junction on Thursday afternoon.

Officials responded to reports of a three-car crash near the intersection of 5th Street and North Avenue at around 2:20 p.m. Witnesses told Western Slope Now they saw a speeding car slam into the back of an SUV, causing the SUV to crash into an oncoming vehicle.

Emergency responders transported one woman to the hospital.
