GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX)–It’s fall in Colorado… and fall sports are in full swing. But there’s another group of kids competing right here in Grand Junction tomorrow — and it’s not what you might think.
The 45th annual Colorado West Marching Band Festival is happening tomorrow at Stocker Stadium, starting at 11:15 a.m. High school marching bands from across Colorado will journey over to the Grand Valley to compete in their first competition of the year. The event will wrap up around 3:30 tomorrow afternoon, following a special performance by the CMU Maverick Stampede.
Organizers say because of limited space, there will be no parking available from the 12th Street entrance–so please avoid using it unless you’re parking in a handicapped space. Ticket costs are $13.00 for adults, and $8.00 for students, active military, or seniors. Children under 5 get in for free.
The festival brings in thousands of students — and if you’re looking for something to do on a beautiful fall day, these kids would love to have your support.
