GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – (KREX) After COVID-19 cancelled the event last year, the Cross Orchards Historic Site reopened to the public today, for the return of Fall Day on the Farm.
With the change in seasons, the fall harvest is here and Cross Orchards offered community members the chance to taste some fresh cider and learn more about the historic site.
On the farm, those looking to get in the fall spirit could explore a variety of local vendors, pick some fresh produce, or even learn a new skill. “We have harvested most of our apples and we are making and selling fresh apple cider,” Matt Darling, Cross Orchards said, “Most of the buildings are open and our volunteers are out doing demonstrations, answering questions. It’s just a big fun event for the whole family.”
Fall day on the farm is one of Cross Orchards largest fundraising events.
