GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - A partnership between two medical services in the Grand Valley is aiming to help integrate people with disabilities back into the community with recreational activities.
St. Mary's Rehabilitation Program and Colorado Discover Ability have teamed up to raise funds for a 4-wheel drive that will transport patients to and from locations.
The rehabilitation program currently relies on family members or other methods of transportation to be able to drive patients in wheel-chairs around town.
St. Mary's and CDA's mission is to get people to be able to move around and be active again, and offer more resources for rehab patients.
