Grand Junction, Colo.- A small act of kindness can go a long way and that was the goal of one local brewery on a mission to say thank you to the firefighters battling the Pine Gulch Fire.

Monumental Beer Works is the brewery that decided to give back to firefighters. The Brewery made it’s own beer called Smokey in honor of the firefighters.

“We decided to make a beer to tribute the firefighter working on the Pine Gulch fire.” Brian Fisher, Owner of Monumental Beer Works.

The design on the can has a picture of Anna a Wildland Firefighter, and a descripition of the Pine Gulch fire on the back.

Beside creating the smokey beer, all money from purchases of the beer will be donated to Wildland firefighters.

The beer begins selling on Thursday September 10th, and is a limited time offer.
