Alcohol Plays a Role in Weekend Fatal Crash

MESA COUNTY, Colo. - The Mesa County Coroner revealed alcohol played a role in the car crash that killed Hunter Norman, 20, of Paonia.

The accident happened on the Lands End Road late Sunday afternoon.

The coroner said Norman was driving unrestrained when he was ejected after his vehicle left the roadway.

He died as a result of blunt force head injuries and his death was ruled an accident.

His blood alcohol concentration was more than twice the legal limit at 0.164%.
