Grand Junction police are looking into a discovery of ‘funny money’ on the grounds of Colorado Mesa University.
Two people found nearly $2,000 scattered in bushes outside Bunting Hall on Tuesday, but the bills were all fake.
The money, in various denominations, had elements that clearly did not belong – including pink Asian markings on the front.
This type of cash is often used as a prop in film or theatrical productions.
There’s no word on how the mock money ended up on campus but police are classifying it as lost property.
