Breakfast After The Bell serves 9 Mesa County schools with free meals

Local News

Breakfast After The Bell will be adding R-5 high school to a list that includes Fruitvale Elementary, Mount Garfield and Bookcliff Middle School.

Through the universal breakfast program, the federal government will subsidize free breakfast for all students at Chipeta, Clifton, Dos Rios, Nisley, and Rocky Mountain Elementary.

The universal breakfast program serves our most at need students within District 51.

District 51 as a whole has 49 percent of students who qualify for free and reduced meals.

Nisley tops the list of students who received subsidized meals with 87 percent.

D51 reminds parents that they still need to apply for free and reduced meals–as this program only covers breakfast.

Additionally, this Friday will be the final day of the summer Lunch Lizard.
