Local News

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- There’s about to be another place to enjoy the fun of the Colorado River.

The city broke ground Tuesday night on the new “River Park at Las Colonias.”

We caught up with local businesses and residents to see how they feel about this massive new addition to Las Colonias Park.

The project costs $1.3 million, and is designed to provide a new recreation space along the Colorado River while also enhancing the natural river habitat.

The park could also be the start of a new, lively part of town for businesses once completed.
