RIFLE, Colo.- Would you buy a business during the COVID-19 pandemic? That’s a pretty tough question considering the economic hardship the pandemic is causing small business.
But that didn’t stop one Rifle woman.
Jazmine Camacho is the new owner of The Black Cat Clothing company, a skateboard and clothing shop in downtown Rifle.
The shop has been opened for a year, but Tuesday, May 5 was Camacho’s first day as the new owner.
“The opportunity showed up and we had a chance to take it so we did. We saw the store was doing pretty well in its first year so we took the leap and bought it,” Camacho said.
Camacho says business has been steady even with social distancing precautions.
“We can only allow up to 6 people at a time in here. Minus myself and my co-worker, so that’s only 4 people at a time.”
