CDOT Travel Advisory Updated

CDOT has extended its closure of the US 550 Red Mountain Pass due to high winds, low visibility, and high accumulations of snow. CDOT officials say there is no estimated time of opening Highway US 550, and the closure will remain in effect until further notice. Travelers are advised to use the alternate North-South route of CO 145 via Telluride. Southbound traffic will be stopped from Ridgeway to Montrose and just south of Ouray at mile post 92. Northbound traffic from Durango will be stopped just north of Silverton.
