Car crashes into downtown post office

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — This afternoon at the Downtown Post Office Grand Junction Police Department and Fire Department responded to a crash into the side of the Post Office.

Fortunately, according to our local police department, no pedestrians were injured, and there was no structural damage to the building. In addition, an officer said, the older gentleman was pulling into the handicap spot and accidentally accelerated his car instead of hitting on the brakes.

According to local law enforcement, the man did not suffer any severe injuries, but his car was damaged in the accident and needed to be towed.
