The Grand Valley Model Railroad Club brought back pieces of history this weekend.
Members of the railroad club introduced locals to some of the model trains they have been preparing to showcase, along with exhibitions of the actual trains and the Cross Orchard ride-ons.
Because of the high demand during their annual Christmas train show, they decided to put on their first summer exhibition.
Dozens of members have been working on the tracks, electronics, and have added another portion to their display.
By the end of this year, they plan to add more scenery around their new section.
“We enjoying having people and talking to them. We’re out here very Thursday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. working or playing. But if somebody comes in, they’re welcome to come in,” said Mickey Nuttall, President of the Grand Valley Model Railroad Club.
The railroad club will be open on the fourth Saturday of each month from nine to noon when the Cross Orchards Farmer’s Market is open.
