GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (FOX) – Mesa County Clerk, Tina Peters has been at the center of a criminal probe by the FBI, and her home is now one of four Western Colorado locations recently searched by law enforcement.

The FBI, the Colorado Attorney General’s office, and local authorities conducted the searches, Tuesday, amid ongoing investigations into the alleged security breach of elections equipment this year.

The search of Peters’ home came during an ongoing dispute between Clerk Peters and and Secretary of State, Jena Griswold.

According to 21st Judicial District Attorney, Dan Rubinstein “the property searches occurred in both Mesa and Garfield counties, at four separate locations tied to potential criminal activity by employees of the Mesa County Clerk’s office and others associated with those employees.”

According to Colorado Politics, Mike Lindell, the MyPillow CEO, a supporter of Peters, said Garfield County resident, Sherronna Bishop, Lauren Boebert’s former Campaign Manager, also had her home searched on Tuesday.

Western Slope Now, reached out to former Campaign Manager Bishop Wednesday afternoon for comment, and have yet to hear back. “As you know the FBI raided my home yesterday morning, accusing me of committing a crime,” Clerk Tina Peters said, “They also raided the homes of some of my friends, mostly older women.” Peters continues to say, “They even used or had a battering ram out on the drive way, in case they needed that, you know to have soldiers in combat gear show up to attack my home, not men in suits with badges, soldiers with automatic weapons and combat gear, so it was pretty over the top.”

According to Clerk Peters, the search went on for three hours and law enforcement confiscated mainly electronics from her home.

Peters says she believes the search was meant to intimidate or distract her, while the overall investigation into her actions as Clerk continues.

No arrests were made, and the operations of the FBI and the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s office are related to several ongoing investigations.
