Local News

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – At 2:00 P.M. today, in front of Clifton Elementary School located at 3276 F Road the kick off to the Clifton Elementary Library Project Fundraiser will begin.

Academy Mortgage is partnering with the D51 Foundation and Clifton Elementary to promote this and make the initial donation to this project. Representatives from Clifton Elementary, Academy Mortgage, and the D51 Foundation will be taking a kick-off photo and discussing the plans for the project.

Become a partner with Academy Mortgage and help improve Clifton Elementary’s current library by turning the center into a 21st Century Media Center. The renovations and makeover project would include replacing the carpet, new paint, upgrading furniture and shelving, as well as upgrading the technology in the center. The goal of this project is to make an inviting learning environment for kids to enjoy and increase the amount of student technology.

The timing of this kick off is ideal with Tuesday, December 8 also being Colorado Gives Day and Grand Valley Gives Day.
