GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — The Glacier Ice Arena is the home of the Colorado Mesa University’s hockey team. With the sale of the arena underway the program’s livelihood hangs in the balance. a recent anonymous donation of a million dollars towards the purchase on the condition the new owner keeps the rink there is hope for the team and community at large.
With the next closest ice rink being in Glenwood Springs losing the rink effectively would stop all skating activities here in Grand Junction.
