GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX)–Colorado believes electric vehicles are the future. That’s why state officials set a lofty goal to have 940,000 EV’s on the market by 2030. Colorado is already leading the way in electric vehicles driving our roadways, but lawmakers believe more can be done to help get people into those vehicles.
To help them achieve their goal, Colorado transportation officials announced they’ll spend half a million dollars on a campaign aimed at helping to boost EV sales in the state. The campaign includes a $2,500 tax rebate, which is stackable with federal rebates of $7,500 for new vehicles.
