GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Several Colorado Mesa University football players have tested positive for COVID-19 according to officials at CMU.

This comes after one football player was randomly selected by the university to be tested. The university administers random testing to faculty and staff weekly. Following the positive test, more tests were conducted among the team, and a ‘cluster’ of players tested positive.

Colorado Mesa University officials say the school will continue to test students and faculty, and work on contact tracing.

This is a developing story.
