Committee to recall Mesa County Clerk to circulate Friday, June 5

MESA COUNTY, Colo. — On Tuesday, June 2nd, the Committee to Recall Clerk Tina officially submitted their proposed petition format to the Designated Election Official (DEO) Teak Simonton and the Clerk’s Office.

DEO Simonton gave official approval of the format on Thursday June 4th. The committee will be able to officially start circulating on the first full day after approval – Friday, June 5th.

“The easiest way to get involved is get your friends and family to sign a single petition packet,” said Amanda Polson, the committee organizer. Petition packets will be available starting Friday. Interested people can pick one up in the old R-5 parking lot (310 N 7th St, Grand Junction, CO 81501) from 4:30pm – 7:00 pm on Friday June 5th. They can also contact and a volunteer coordinator will be in contact. The committee has until August 3rd, 2020 to collect enough valid signatures to place the recall question on the ballot. 12,129 valid
signatures are needed.
