MESA COUNTY, Colo. — Community Hospital has been recognized as a Health Links™ Certified Healthy Workplace Leader for its commitment to creating a culture of health and safety in the workplace. This is the highest level of recognition offered by Health Links™. Community Hospital has demonstrated an outstanding dedication to team member and community health and safety.

Health Links™ is a nonprofit program of the Center for Health, Work and Environment at the Colorado School of Public Health. Health Links assesses businesses via an online assessment tool that benchmarks their health and safety efforts. Health Links™ also provides businesses with expert advising and connects them with community resources to help them bring health to work.

“We are extremely proud to have earned this certification for the fifth year in a row,” stated Lana Birch, Wellness Coordinator at Community Hospital. “It’s because of our staffs’ engagement in our wellness program that we are able to achieve this distinguished recognition and integrate wellness into our workplace culture,” added Birch.

Employee wellness is a key component of the organizational culture at Community Hospital. The Community Hospital Wellness Committee is fundamental in ensuring the program’s success. The wellness program is composed of a variety of challenges and interventions that address areas of improvement established during annual employee health screenings.
