Worries about the spread of COVID-19 is plaguing the sports world further. Thursday CHSAA and the RMAC announced they are cancelling the 2020 spring sports season through April 6th.
The hit to high schools is affecting more than just games. In a statement CHSAA said the cancelations also applies to practice schedules, the state speech tournament, and student leadership’s Advisor U, and all music festivals are canceled through April 6. The decision is effective Friday, March 13.
The NCAA announced Thursday, it would be cancelling its Winter and Spring sports championships, tournaments, and events. Later in the day the RMAC announced it would be postponing spring sports, competitions, and travel through April 6.
