COVID-19 Outbreak in Delta Police Department

Local News

DELTA, Colo. — The City of Delta anticipates that the Delta Police Department will be listed as an outbreak of COVID. The City of Delta is working to minimize the continued spread and have taken several measures including the closing of the administrative office of the Delta Police Department to the public as well as implementing working remotely when possible, working from patrol vehicles,
adjusting shifts, wearing masks whenever in direct contact with anyone and have also increased
sanitizing of shared vehicles and offices. Wearing masks is mandatory when interacting with the
general public. The Delta Police Department is still providing all services. Please contact the
Delta County Dispatch at 970-874-2015 to reach an officer.

The City of Delta wants to thank the Delta County School District for gifting testing kits. The
police department staff has begun testing at the start of each shift to help identify anyone that
may be ill with COVID prior to beginning their work day to further minimize contact with
others.

The City of Delta has provided vaccine information to all employees and encourage them to talk
with the healthcare provider and consider getting the vaccine if they have not already done so.
