GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) – With COVID-19 cases rising, many parents are eager to vaccinate their youngest kids. Mesa County Public Health has received all its COVID-19 vaccines. Now all children, down to six months old, are able to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. In anticipation of this approval, Mesa County Public Health bought the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. The vaccination is safe and effective for this age range according to clinical studies and continuing safety monitoring.
Mesa County Public Health will begin administering the vaccines tomorrow, June 28 to those who have scheduled an appointment. Families can call Mesa County Public Health to schedule an appointment or for any questions regarding COVID-19 vaccine.
