Crime Alert: Montrose County traffic signs stolen

Local News

MONTROSE, Colo. — The Montrose County Sheriff’s Office needs your help. Authorities are looking for the person or people responsible for removing road signs across town.

In recent weeks, Montrose County road and bridge signs were pulled out of the ground and set along the right of way.

Signs have also been reported down near 6100 Road and West Oak Grove Road.

Tampering with road signs carries criminal charges and felony charges if accidents occur.

Those with information regarding the identity of the perpetrators may call crime stoppers anonymously at 970-249-8500 for a potential cash reward if the tip leads to an arrest.
